Baby Ruffled Bubble Romper

After making the first one for baby Alona, I knew I would make her another one - as soon as I will get the chance. I find them super cute for baby, great and comfortable for the warm super hot Israeli days.

It will be great for her day nursery, I really do think I will make some more =D (Though now I need to challenge myself with new fabrics (yay!)).

Fabric was a gift from a friend =).

I am glad I found this pattern shop, they have some beautiful girls dresses! I made this one as a little addition to birthday gift, for cute beautiful baby girl who is having her first birthday this weekend.
I think it will look nice as well with shorter skirt, I know I will give it a try for my girls for summer.

I love both prints!!

Kids clothes still going..

Again, I made the Butterfly dress from Sewing In No Mans Land by Kelly Crawford for baby Alona. This is the third time I use this pattern, and every time it is great to use, and so versatile! Look for yourself =) dress1, top2, and this dress of course.

She is moving so fast, and won't hold for a sec he he, so this is all I can get as far as taking her photos =)

kids clothes week #7

Today is the last day?? Already?!?! Who stole my time from me? =D I am so happy I took the challenge and joined this KCWC. I got such great inspiration, had fun sewing time in my studio, got to use my fabrics finally, AND the girls has cute Mama made clothes to wear now =).
Last night I stayed up late and got to sew two more dresses (Yay!) I am not done ones this challenge is over, I have many more to go ;).

The set in this post is great for babies! The top is the Prudenrbaby Snappy Toddler Top, and bottoms are again the Button up bloomers from Sewing In No Mans Land.

I love this brilliant pattern, the outcome is just too cute and very comfy for the tiny ones =)

both patterns are free to download and with step to step tutorials, you should give it a go!

kids clothes week #6

Wow, time is running fast!!! I can't believe this week is almost over..
Finally I was using my fabrics for the girls clothing, I am happy about it, since it was one of my new year's resolution, to use all of my existing fabrics instead of running to buy new ones.

Anyways, this time (again for the forth time ;)) I have made Prudentbaby pretty party dress for baby Alona, but made it out of more casual looking fabrics for everyday use. Now, baby Alona grew out of this pattern, so I had to enlarge it by just a bit, (pray as well) and lucky enough it fits great =).

Also, Made her tiny bloomers to match (but after seeing these pics, I know she will wear them apart :p).

For my bigger one I made the "easy no-hem skirt".

I have to make them both with the same fabrics no matter what, since my bigger one notice it all, and calculate her Mama's making all the time ;).

One more day to go =)

kids clothes week #4

I bought this fabric right after I got my Serger as a gift =). I love this color so much. I had in plan to make myself a top out of it, and so I did cut the fabric for my top. The lefties looked perfect for baby Alona tunic top. Unfortunately, my serger is not working well :( and I had to sew it with my regular sewing machine (don't like knits there he he).

After I was done with the top, I saw I had enough for tights pants as well. When I was finished, I thought it was missing something, and after adding the white band I am absolutely happy with it =).

There is no pattern really, I just cut the fabric and prayed for the best (he he).

This project took me 20 min. =) I bet that with serger it would even take less :p..

look who is growing way fast than her mama would like :)

I did make another spring skiet for my girl, but I guess that I will upload it tomorrow (so hard to get them to pose =p)

I love watching the KCWC pool so many great clothes!!!

kids clothes week #3

These fabrics were waiting for such a long time for me to decide what am I going to do with it. When my girl asked me to make her this dress, I knew it will be great to try the Button up bloomers from Sewing In No Mans Land by Kelly Crawford for baby Alona (I was so pleased with the result, that I immediately went to cut some more fabrics for it =D).

The top is also from the butterfly dress pattern, only I shorten it and closed it up with self made bias tape from the dame fabric.

**runnig away from camera

This is really easy and fast to make, the outcome is so great for babies to wear, I highly recommend this =).

KCWC #2

When the girls are sleeping, and the house is all tidy and quiet, and finally I have some time to sew in my studio, I REALLY do sew and sew and sew he he. I lost track of time during my sewing nights, but I just love it =D. I made the Butterfly dress from Sewing In No Mans Land by Kelly Crawford for baby Alona. I love her blog, she has such great tutorials and cute cute very useful patterns. I plan on making some more version of this one, it is so very cute!

cute little apple button

As I told you before, I am now, due to this headband tutorial, making (almost) with every little thing I sew for the girls, some hair accessories =).

And yes, trying to get fancy photo of a crawling baby is a pain! =D!

KCWC #1

Yay, KCWC DAY 1! I must confess at first, I did trace and cut some of the fabric before the week started. I was over excited about this sewing boost (That I really needed) =).
The first thing I made is 3 little Simple Spring Skirts. Blue shades for our Independence day today =))
I don't have a nice pic of all of the girls wearing it, manged to get something just with the two of mine BUT I don't have it yet :p, he he.

I also love this headband tutorial, and now I tend to make hair pieces with the fabric lefties, so I made 2 of these as well.

** I think I know the hardest thing this week will be getting photos =D.

Stroller Blanket

For New Tiny baby boy =). This one is a mixture of cotton and fleee (I find it very useful with my girls ).

I still find it much harder to find "fabric for boys".. I used lots of spots and stripes in this one, because, I knew that his Mama would love it =).

kids clothes week spring 2011

I really needed this boost to start sewing spring and summer clothes for the girls, there are so many great great ideas, patterns and tutorial that I am dying to try, and others that I adore and want to make new ones as well. So, I have decided to join this challange =) by Elsie Marley. I am browsing some great tutorials knowing that finally I am going to use my cottons that I bought for the girls =D.
All the clothes will be added to the Flickr groop as well as posted here.
I do hope that with my crawling baby I'll be able to do so (well, if not an hour a day it will be few hours in the night :p).

If you are joining as well, go through my Links to love , there are so many great sewing ideas for kids!

It is getting warmer

The girls are having so much fun when the sun is popping out (I might start liking warm weather =)). I was so  "busy" having fun with them, I REALLY did enjoy our time off together.
Now, that we are back on track, I did manage to get some things at my crafty to do list done.

This dress was drafted by myself, based on this cute cute tutorial. I thought it would be nice tunic but it came out long enough for it to be a dress he he. I don't like this fabric on her, but she wanted it so much..
I also made the cute headband based on this tutorial, also from Sewing in No Mans Land blog (but didn't get a photo of it).

I am cutting fabrics like crazy now - I really want to make some clothes for the girls and join in to the KCWC this time =).
