Sewing For Me - Shawl Wrap Cardigan

I had perfect time with my family this holiday (Purim). Tomorrow we are all getting back to our routine life. Yes, I am happy about it (I might get some time for myself, or even will able to snick bit of sewing here and there) But, I somehow feel sad it was over so soon.  I was able (somehow, with my sister's help) to get some photos of my latest fav sewing project =).

This cardi is soooooooo cool! I am wearing it all the time (Ha! =D). It is comfy and so versatile, you can wear it in SO MANY WAYS and this is what I love the most about it. (I did not get pics of all the wearable option due to lack of time =().

Pattern is from DMK-Women <3.
fabric is cozy blended stretch wool.

Another pair =)

I am so happy to say, that I AM actually following my new year's resolutions (as in crafting =)), weight watch, and such are still heavy on the list ...) But, as for my Fabric growing collection, I have decided to USE all of my fabrics and not to get cheap on them =D. I can always buy more if I'll run out of it =). So, this fabric is mixed wool with tiny glitters, I love it, and kept saving it for the right time. After my little asked me to make her "lots and lots of pants" as her Jeggins, I have decided that this fabric is perfect for that.

She says it is super comfy and did not want to take them off at night =D.

And guess what, I still got plenty of this fabric left (yay!)

Happy with her Jeggins =D

<3

Cute pair isn't it? She loves it, and now she keeps on asking for many in different colors =D. This pattern is great, I tell you, you can't go wrong with it.

I used thick 15% stretched jeans fabric for it, because it is wintry around. I highly recommend this one, I did cut few more different fabrics for this one, it will look cute with knit or wool as well =).

=)

Today finally my husband is coming back home! After two weeks of being a single mama I can tell ya' I am waiting for some ME time =))!!!

I was not really able to get done with some of my projects done, but here, and there I got some bits and bits of sewing time.
So I have decided to give a try, and "fix" some of my tops that are stained with baby food =P.

This is my first try out - and I like it (for the 5 minutes it took me I can't complain =)).
( sorry for pic quality, iphone is to blame, ha!)

Portable Crib Bumper and Giveaway winner

Sewing life with a Serger are so much fun =). Here is a newbie for baby Alona Nursery. This bumper is matching her changing mat that I have made earlier this week. Now I feel much better about her staying the night in her own little bed =).

While I was making it, I did cut by accident the same piece twice, and noticed it only after I sewed it together. Luck enough, while I folded it over, I saw it was the same size as her little pillow, and one more stitch line, and it was pillow cover to match the becoming set. Ha! =)
