Big Doily Rug

DONE.

Finally done.
After lots and lots of skeins, many hours breaking my back by the floor trying to avoid it's heavy weight, I am pleased with it.

I loved making this one, I wish I needed more so I could keep on with this hehe.

I did not go through all of this pattern as it was coming out too big :) So I had to trim some and decided to finished row 18, and did sc all around for the last one.
All details are on Ravelry.

I love taking pics of how it starts :) thanks to instagram it is also very easy he he.

Floor 'Lace Placemat' mat

I used table lace placemat pattern to make this one. After she saw the Small one I made, she wanted to replace her own with my handmade one :) I love it that she appreciate it so much.

Anyway, she chose the yarn, and I am happy to say I am pleased with it now seeing it finished.

Kids Clothes Week Challenge Day 7

I love this challenges weeks, (thanks to Elsie Marley blog :)). It give me just the right push that I need to get started.
Actually, when I first saw the dates I thought I wouldn't be able to join in, since it is our holidays now, but, somehow I did manage to get my sewing/crocheting time each and every night. and I am thankful for that.

Last night, FINALLY, I got to sew what I was planning on sewing first :D.

As usual, not a chance to get a good photo out of this busy working toddler.

I have made this jacket before for my girl, but when I saw this beautiful wool fabric, I knew I will sew it again for my tiny one.
Pattern is from DMK (you know I adore all of her patterns).

Kids Clothes Week Challenge Day 6

Since we were invited for holiday dinner last night, and I was responsible for the desserts, I didn't get any sewing at all. BUT, I had lots of great time with my friends and family, had fabulous food AND, somehow, manage to finish crocheting my tiny one hooded jacket :)

It was truly hard task to get her to pose for me, this IS the best I've got he he

Kids Clothes Week Challenge Day 5

KnitShirt Hoodie dress. This is the first time I am sewing with 5berries pattern. The pattern is realy nice and so versatile (soooooooo many options to go by) BUT - it was late by the time I got to my sewing room, I was very tired and I got sizing all wrong...so. I will definitely will try this again with better sizing and a bit more creativity (hope so =D).

Kids Clothes Week Challenge Day 4

I love Simple Simon and co blog, I enjoy following it for each and every post :). So, when I first saw their Audrey Cape Tutorial, I just knew I will have to give it a try. I got this great quality fabric from my hasband's aunt, and this project was really fun and quick with such lovely outcome.

(I love it that she is lovin' it =D)

Since making this was less than an hour, I was able to make tiny skirt for my tiny one with this fabric leftovers.

I actually can't believe I have manage to follow through this challenge so far, while in the middle of this holiday season AND having the girls off school and nursery :).

KCWC Day 3

My list is super long, but somehow, by the time I am getting to my sewing table, I turn up making something totally different from what I planed.
This time, I could not resist trying to ,make something with my new knits.

This is cute Autumn top - cream and brown spots. I added the buttons for a tiny color touch.

(Sooooooo very hard to get "notmal" photo of her he he)

Also, I was busy hand sewing this hooded jacket for her, Hope I'll get to finish it sooooooooooooooon as well.

KCWC Day 2

Day Two started way too early here at our home, the girls did not adjust yet to winter clock time changing, and were up at 5:30AM (brrrrr.. I will get back at them when they'll be teenagers ha ha). Anyways, I was able to do almost the impossible with them - and got to get some photos of my last night making.

With the inspiration of this tutorial, I made 'three pleats skirt', this is nice and quick sewing project and I love the outcome. I also used one of her stained school shirt and "covered" the stain with some fabric scraps.

old stained school shirt

I love this tweed fabric, I had only little of it, I got it as a gift from my husband's aunt among some other lovely wintry fabrics that I hope to be able to show you this week.

Last night I was also able to finish this cute quick poncho for my tine one.

Getting her to pose was much harder he he, But, it is enough for such an early hour ;)
