I love blogs, I love learning and getting inspired!

Since I am a "STAY HOME MOM" and since my pregnancy made me stay at bed for lonnnnnnnng time mom, I must say I have learned so so much from the Internet. So many talented and lovely ladies who shares their ideas and techniques online got me so inspired and thought me a great deal of things!!! One of the greatest blogs I follow is Prudent Baby. I Must say that I have learned all I know about sewing from this blog (and I would like to thank Jamie its owner for keeping it so good and a live =)). I am making so many things for my girl and for myself out of her amazing tutorials, if you do not know her blog yet you MUST enter!!

And so it happened, that my mommy asked me to make a little dress for a friend's sweetly girl. I, of course used this tutorial for dress basics, and I have another sweet lady, Kate from Fox lane, who got me so inspired with her crochet motifs added to little dresses that I had to give it a try as well!

Thanks for all!!! I enjoy this so much!

My Flickr faves of the week

I had such a lovely time at the beach Saturday! The water felt perfect the waves were crazy as I like it, it was too good to be true =). So it happened that when I got home after I showered I have discovered that my wholllllllllllle body if filled with Jelly fish stings and bites =(((((
Now after 3 days it feels even worse each stings turned into painful blister (yuck!!!!), for the record I must say that my husband was warning me and refuses to join me into the water =D but still I had to stay in =P

Anyway, while I was searching the net for some Magic cures or so, I was also noticing how pretty they come in images =D

If you like to play this week, make your mosaic and jump over to
lovely ARTMIND , it is great fun!!!

Note Board

In preparations of My mini one's room for first grade, I made her a note board to be placed over her desk.

{cute little bloon pins}

I covered cork board with fabric , and sewed pockets on it =) I made it with the same colors I used for her summer blanket since she love it so much. (Which makes me think, maybe it is about time I'll make her nice curtains out of it as well =D)

How about blue?

Blue lovely tunic =), this one has large pockets on the sides, and can be worn both sides =) My mini likes the dark fabric better, so she has it like this. She wanted me to make her something BLUE, and these were the only blue fabrics I had.

No pattern really, I tried to make her a dress and she asked for a tunic instead, so I was playing with the fabrics until I came up with something =D.

Also shoulder strap  are tied by hand =) so it can fits many sizes =)

My blog is carbon neutral

{Ao Nang,Thailand}

Lovely photographer and a dear blogger from Imperfectly Perfect Tali Shiffer, introduced this very interesting and important Carbon Neutral project.
"My blog is Carbon Neutral" started off in Germany by the "Make it green" program, that has made it their goal to reduce carbon dioxide emissions, which means great deal to us all. This organization is trying to  get more promotion for their important cause.  So, For every blog that posts and adds their button on, 'Make it Green' will plant a tree under the blog's name (Now that's awesome!!). The trees will be planted by spring 2010, at the Arbor Day Foundation. This will neutralize your blog’s carbon footprint for the next 50 years =).

Please join this and take an action =)

Adults are also on my "TO DO" list =)

{This one was too big to capture so I made this little collage}

New Apron and NOT for a child =D. My friend saw on of my little girl's apron and asked for me to make one super large size to be comfy for her.
And so I did =).

I am proud to say that all the straps are made by my self, out of lefties that I have found in my studio =)

And now, I am getting ready, on my way to our Arts and crafts Forum meeting =) It is always great fun, great food, lovely handmade gifting and group crafting. Today we are going to make owls together, should be lots of fun =) Hope you enjoy your Friday as well.

My Friend Sari from Gaialai, has some craziness for Lizards =D. Don't ask me why but she does! She has the largest Iguana I have ever seen on earth living walking free around her house (trust me it is like a little dinosaur....).
Anyway, when she asked me to make her new Apron for her glass lampwork, I knew I have to somehow add a lizard to it =D.
I must say, since sewing is new to me - I had hard time adding this applique since it was such a thin fabric and delicate outline, But, I am pleased with it now =D. (Just not too sure of doing it again=D).

New Baby Boy Set =D

Not too long ago Mitsy from Artmind told me on one of her comments: that people bringing babies can really keep you busy =D. Sure thing, she was very right =)) Here is a news set I made for a new baby boy =).

{sweet little hat taking from here}

{Ruttle soft Bunny also from here}

{Bunny back view}

{Fabric "box" to wrap it all}

My baby girl due date is around the End of July - beginning of August and I keep telling myself that it is about time to start and making some little sweeties for her, but somehow I don't know from where to start... so I keep on making my soon to be first grader girl all that she wants around the house =D

My Flickr faves of the week

I can't believe it - school year is almost over (Actually we have around 10 days to go....) My Flickr search this week was to get some inspiration for kinder garden teachers personal gifts. Since my girl will be going to first grade next year (I get so emotional about it....=D), this time it is goodbye and I want to make something nice, memorable and USEFUL!
I'd love to hear your ideas if you have some =) That would be great.

If you like to play this week, make your mosaic and jump over to lovely ARTMIND , it is great fun!!!

I didn't have the heart to throw away all the little fabric leftovers.... don't ask why, I just piled it up in one box.
At first I thought we'll use it next spring for birds houses, but when I ran out of stuffing material....I have decided to chop chop it all,
and to stuff with it some new owls =D
