    Something I do to cheer myself up is look up airfare to places I want to go. When the price is right, I book myself a ticket. When it' not, I plan a mini roadtrip instead. Having things to look forward to helps get me out of a rut.

    To cheer myself up I sleep, because when I wake up, I usually feel much better. Who doesn't love slowly waking up from a good nap? Especially on a rainy day .. like today .. nap time!

    Also, when I'm alone and feeling blue, I play some Handsome Furs or Andrew Bird, and continue my crochet and knitting tutorials (I'm new at it, so it takes all my concentration, thus ridding me of thoughts of sadness.)

    when i am alone and need to cheer up, i put in a cd with happy little songs and start cleaning the house.
    does this sound strange? maybe, but cleaning up is kind of meditation for me. ^_^b

    I live in a dorm, so I usually alone. But I seldom take a walk to the park near my dorm and watching everyone having their time—usually there's children playing together. That makes me feel better :D
