Oh how I've missed this

losing time and mind in dusty studio, just letting my hand express what my lips would never say =) I must say that I have started this one when I got pregnant and I could not finish it - up until now - so this is the longest so far that took me to finish single project!

It is all glazed cover which is not my ceramic style usually but I really wanted this white effect on it - I must say - I wish I did not glazed it in white now- and just let it be bold and natural..oh well..this is a learning process as well I guess =)

Much love

Kids Wall Art

I can't remember this HOT summer in here for the longest, yes it is a warm (very warm) country, but this past month was CRAZY hot!!! I could barely breath outside.

Anyway, since it is summer vacation, we were so narrowed with our outdoor activities due to this weather. We go to the beach, swimming pools, different slides and water parks, BUT also needed to find any other non-water activity that MUST include AC.
So, we had on our list Movie theater, some indoor playgrounds and IKEA =D
Yeh! Ikea! I took the my girl with her cousin to Ikea, last week, we looked for frames to decorate their rooms, also bought some nice kids decoration pillows, plus bonus kids play that happened to be played there , so they had a great time with Ice creame for the finalla =D (Oh and - so did I!) We came back home straight to my studio to work on the pictures for the new frames.

Here is some of the art wall the girls put together. I did not get to photo it all, I guess I will do so when it will be placed on their walls. It was fun activity with them, used fabrics lefties for it - and they were kept busy =)

Fabric Silhouette wall art

Super easy and simple wall art =) . Simply choose your silhouette, tape it to your fabric, cut out, and that's it =D.
Place above contras fabric for it to show (or simply white paper).

Simple, fast and cute isn't it??

Now, I am working on some other items for new baby's room =)

stay sane

I try to keep my head up and not to let myself fall into sadness and loss.
I know there is no way on earth that such evil would win, and
I know I am good in heart and I know I made no harm to no one -
So I do have faith in life, in god and in human kind -
That this time
The good ones will win.
I am going through some hard time , because someone decided so.
I am holding on through it all, trying to stay sane, keeping my family strong and united more than ever
I am learning so much from it about myself.
So, I thank the hard time for they teach me and let me know how important it is
To have your loved ones loving you back with no conditions,
And to have art in life as a great great comfort.
I know that most of you don’t know what it is about, but I felt the need to share.
12k gold on porcelain
I am making earrings and rings lately, it keeps my head busy with positive and beautiful, and gives me comfort.
I am having hard time taking good pics of it, but this is what I got so far (I hope you like it!!!)
Much love,
Stay safe and in light

Look !!!!

P2130082
While we were in Prague this time I’ve noticed there a new restaurant (oops forgot the name now…) but what catches my eyes there was the restaurant design. It was beautiful, well picked items and the atmosphere there felt great.
They had ‘Calabash’ pumpkins as decorative lamps.
I was so excited about it so I have taken many pics there lol and made my husband as well =D

P2130069
here you can also see me trying to decide what am I going to eat =D
P2130067
They made holes at the calabash, filled the holes with see through beads, also what’s nice about it that the covered with natural rope the electricity cables.
So what do you think??
Ohhhhh, I forgot the food was great!!! I must ask my husband again for the restaurant’s name!!!

February

This is such a busy and short month!!
We have the Tu Bishvat holiday,
I am flying to Prague to attend ‘The ceramic studio in Prague’ class (Yay!!!),
There is the ‘Family day’ , my Mother and Mother is law birthdays, and great Forum meeting about ‘colors’ - - - so there’s a lot to do in such a short time!!!!
And as you know the clay (ceramic) has its own ways in many matters,

This piece was suppose to be for my “light” forum meeting but it took its time and ready only now =P
So I have already started working on our “colors” forum meeting for the end of this month – so clay won’t rule my time =0)

Sleepy chat

Post office came out with some great new price list for international shipping!!!
This is such great news for me – since most of my items are made of ceramics and most of my clients are international, so I am glad to say I finished updating shipping costs at my Etsy shop.
I must say I love etsy shopping – but for some reason most of my buyers rather buy through e-mail or social networks while I find Etsy much more comfy.
Anyway, this was a long day – I miss lots of sleeping hours
Good night & Much love

Light Meeting =0)

(Every Sunday when I need to get up for work – I miss living in the USA lol =D)
***
Now, Friday we had the most fun and creative 'Arts & Crafts Forum' meeting at the north part of the country.
It was so much fun (as always =) ).
The meeting subject was “LIGHT”. We had to make little giveaways goodies, and one major work that will be exchanged in a fun gifts game =0)
This is what I’ve made for all of them:
and rapped:
and this was my “light gift” for the game:
and here is what I got (polymer clay):
Also, at the meeting we had candles making course which was very professional and covers many options and ways for candles making – so I guess I will have to find the time to get more practice of that=0).
Beside these we had exchanged so many great arts and crafts!!!!! I will post some pics of it later on, it is such a great fun to have such great handmade items and to get to know all the great people behind it.
Also, each one of such meeting has such a great culinary yummies!!! =D each one of us brings something and together we create the best menu and meal ever =0)
can’t wait for the next one!!!!

I need air, but , the special one please

I have not even started thinking about my new year resolutions…
All I know is that I do wishes in my heart for some peace.
Peace in my heart, peace at my home, peace to my family and for our
Country’s future peace at the middle-east.

With all kinds of changes. Very major changes in my life and I have to get into some conclusions.

This just got out of the kiln, and fits well the current condition, that I am just waiting for some air.
Just want to rest from time to time, to stay relax without all these worries…. Oh well, I don’t want it to be a gloomy blog today, I want to say that among all that is happening, the love around me does gives me a great comfort.
Stay safe!!

Hot out of the kiln

This one is still hot from the kiln. I saw this picture at one of my google searches and I imidiatly fell in love with it. I found the artist Kate Doodles blog and this picture was great muse! Just about 20 minutes after seeing it I was at my studio playing with mud making this sweet deer cupcake.

Hanukah is over....

Hanukah is over :( I love this holiday why can’t it be more than 8 days?? Besides all the over over (over) calories amount from jelly doughnuts eating, I’m sure all we’ll approve of that (lol).
Anyway, back to life. I am waiting now for my kiln to cool enough so I will be able to take a peek, it is only bisque fire (first ceramic fire) but I have some finished work there too. And, as always I am having hard time staying patience…

And, since I have to keep my hands busy ( you know, just to keep the demons away) these are what I do when I don’t want clay dirt on my hands =) plus my little one adore these pictures and asked for me to make for her room (I haven’t decided on the colors yet, but I’m so happy she likes what’s her mommy’s doing).

Hannuka is Here!!!!!

Photobucket

Weekend was nice and quiet as I wanted for some time. Sometimes doing nothing is the best thing to do =)
The only thing we did do is to get my girl little a mouse… I don’t believe we actually did it, but she wanted it for the longest time, and begged for it for about every other second… so we gave up at last and got her new little white mouse (so now the counting at the house is 3 humans and 5 animals). She called the mouse “Cheese”, and as long as she’s happy I’m happy too.
Hanukkah is here!!! Finally!!! Every candle day is a party day – I love it!
This is going to be a great festive week!!!

Photobucket

This is something my friend ask me to make her. She wanted harmony and love eastern symbols, and also chose the colors.
Happy Holidays!!!!
